Job Description

A global payments company is looking for a driven and highly motivated Business Development Representative to support its fast-growing commercial organisation across Asia. This is a front-line, client-facing role focused on generating qualified opportunities, building early-stage relationships, and supporting the wider sales team in expanding the company's footprint across banks, fintechs, financial services, e-commerce platforms, and next-generation payment players.

As a BDR, you will help shape the company's first impression with prospective clients. You'll research high-potential accounts, understand their payments needs, and open conversations that create momentum for the sales pipeline. You will partner closely with Sales Directors and cross-functional teams to support strategic outreach, nurture leads, and convert interest into active sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone hungry to learn the payments space, ambitious in their commercial career, and excited by the pace and complexity of a global fintech environment.

Your day-to-day will involve identifying and engaging prospects, conducting discovery calls, understanding client pain points, and positioning how the company's platform can solve real-world cross-border payments challenges. You'll have the freedom to experiment with outreach strategies, bring new ideas to the table, and help scale a high-performing demand generation engine. The role offers exposure to senior commercial leaders, collaboration with global teams, and a clear pathway into full-cycle sales for those who excel.

We're looking for someone energetic, resourceful, and curious about financial technology. You should have strong communication skills, a commercial mindset, and the confidence to hold meaningful conversations with clients ranging from digital banks to enterprise merchants. While experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or B2B sales is a plus, what matters most is grit, ambition, and the ability to turn conversations into opportunities.
