BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS MANAGER

Founding Team Opportunity | Smart Retail / AI Business | Singapore

We are building a new smart retail and convenience business in Singapore under the Mighty Mart brand.

This is not a typical salaried corporate role. We are looking for a highly driven and entrepreneurial person who wants to help build and scale a business from the ground up. The successful candidate will work directly with the founder and will eventually run day-to-day operations independently as the business expands.

This is an opportunity to join at an early stage and potentially grow into a senior leadership role as the company scales across Singapore.

About the business

Mighty Mart is focused on the future of convenience retail.

We aim to build a modern network of smart vending machines. Our focus is simple: better customer experience, better locations, better execution and faster scaling.

The role

This is a hands-on growth and operations role.

Initially, you will work closely with the founder and help build the business operationally from the ground up.

As the company grows, you are expected to progressively take ownership over operations, sales growth and execution.

Responsibilities will include:

1. identifying and securing new locations

2. speaking to property managers, businesses and partners

3. helping negotiate and close deals

4. overseeing daily operations

5. inventory management and stock planning

6. coordinating replenishment and logistics

7. managing suppliers and vendors

8. ensuring machines and locations are properly maintained

9. helping improve operational systems

10. reporting on growth and performance

11. assisting with expansion planning

12. eventually helping recruit and manage staff.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both business development and sales AND operations and execution.

Experience

Relevant experience in any of the following areas will be an advantage:

  • business development and sales
  • retail operations
  • vending
  • logistics
  • startup operations
  • convenience retail
  • account management.

However, attitude, drive and execution ability are more important than industry experience alone.

Growth opportunity

The successful candidate may eventually grow into a larger leadership role within the business, including:

  • General Manager
  • Head of Expansion
  • Country Operations Manager
  • Strategic Growth Lead.

This is intended to be a long-term growth opportunity for the right person.

Compensation

Compensation will include:

  • base salary
  • performance incentives
  • performance bonus
  • potential profit-sharing arrangement for strong performers.

The compensation structure will be discussed further with shortlisted candidates.
