Urban Company currently serves approximately over 2,000,000 customers every month worldwide, for a variety of their home services needs across cleaning, beauty and wellness.

Role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development & Operations Intern to join our team. Reporting to the Category Manager, you'll quickly get up to speed on business problems across our platform's service categories, analyse the data behind them and drive practical solutions from idea to execution. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic project work with day-to-day operations. You'll be expected to take take strong ownership of operational work while contributing to structured problem-solving on the ground.

What You'll Do

  • Work on strategic projects that drive category growth, operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Analyse business and operational data to identify opportunities and shape scalable solutions.
  • Support core operational processes for the category, including order management and system onboarding, and help resolve issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders to execute business initiatives smoothly.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging technologies and automation opportunities to improve how we operate.
  • Document findings from projects and initiatives, sharing updates and recommendations with stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects and responsibilities as business priorities evolve.

What We're Looking For

  • Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Curious, proactive and eager to learn.
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves on both strategic and operational work.
  • Comfortable working with data; proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets required, SQL or AI tools a plus.
  • Strong communicator who can manage stakeholders and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
