We're looking to add a Business Development & Marketing Manager, APAC. The position is based in our HQ at Ang Mo Kio.

As a Business Development & Marketing Manager, APAC you will:

Be responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving market expansion across the region for a portfolio of products serving technology domains in Life Sciences and AI Data Centre. In due course, it will be expanded to Medtech, Semiconductor Equipment & Devices and other identified domains, including EMS++ businesses.

This role places stronger emphasis on market understanding, market creation, opportunity development, and brand positioning while working closely with the business leaders and teams to convert opportunities into revenue.

Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities across Asia Pacific markets.
  • Build and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, applications, and industry segments.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships, distributors, and channel networks.
  • Drive early-stage customer engagement, including prospecting, solution positioning, and opportunity qualification.
  • Support large, strategic deals in collaboration with business leaders.

2. Strategic Marketing & Demand Generation

  • Develop and implement business development & marketing strategies to generate awareness and qualified leads.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research & intelligence in selective technology domains, to identify trends, gaps and growth areas amongst the key players across the value chain, and work with cross functional teams to develop potential differentiators.
  • Define value propositions and messaging tailored to our selected industries.
  • Design and implement specific campaigns, marketing initiatives and industry events to support lead generation and partnership building. Manage customer relationships, trade shows, and media engagement to build company global presence.
  • Create product marketing materials for market-facing messaging that resonates with our targeted sectors.
  • Engage, develop and manage potential customers pipelines and collaborate with business leaders to convert leads into opportunities.

3. Industry Understanding & Product Positioning

  • Build a deep understanding of customer needs and value drivers work closely with R&D team to translate technical capabilities into market-relevant/ customised solutions and business cases to align offerings with market needs.
  • Identify emerging applications and technologies within targeted industries to influence product roadmap and innovation priorities.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure smooth transition from opportunity creation to deal closure.
  • Engage key stakeholders including customers, partners, industry associations, and internal teams.

5. Performance Tracking & Insights

  • Monitor potential customers pipeline development, lead conversion, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide regular updates on market intelligence, competitor activity, and growth opportunities.
  • Track ROI of business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Recommend strategic adjustments based on performance data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 8-12 years of B2B experience in business development and marketing in relevant industries. Preferably with a strong exposure to Asia Pacific markets or at least North-East Asia region with a track record of market entry or expansion.
  • Good understanding of the eco-systems in Life Sciences, AI/Data Centre infrastructure, Medtech, or Semiconductor sectors is preferred.
  • Ability to understand technical products and translate them into commercial opportunities.
  • Proficiency in insights generation, product marketing, content creation, event management, and digital marketing.
  • Strong strategic thinking and market insight Entrepreneurial, proactive, and adaptable Commercial acumen with opportunity-driven mindset.
  • Excellent networking and partnership-building skills Highly collaborative and able to navigate through ambiguity with high resilience
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin to develop branding strategies and storytelling content for Mandarin-speaking markets.
  • Ability to bridge technical and business conversations.
