Job Description

Fairmart&aposs mission is to help local stores thrive in the digital age. To do this, we are building a new operating system for retail stores, including e-commerce, payments, and point-of-sale. We believe that local stores should have access to the same capabilities that larger businesses have, but built for their scale. Our founders bring a combined 25 years of experience from industry giants such as ShopBack, RedMart, and DJI. The company is supported by prominent VCs such as Quest, Vectr, Hustle Fund, Entrepreneur First, HAX, and SOSV.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Be a key member of a tight-knit, high-performance business development team responsible for pitching and winning new business.
  • Daily levels of proactive outreach activity presenting opportunities such as cold calling to partner with Fairmart.
  • Owning and maintaining a consistent pipeline, to meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Drafting outreach templates and proposals to convert pipelines into sales.
  • Maintaining records to provide transparency on all sales activities via the CRM.
  • Passionately representing Fairmart and resolving customer objections.
  • Negotiating partnership pricing to ensure business objectives are achieved.

Skills Youll Need

  • Youll be a strong communicator whether by phone, email or in person with an ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Be goal driven with a strong drive to achieve the objectives you set.
  • A strong interest in technology startups and the various tools we use to drive growth.
  • Closing sales: getting buy-in and agreement from potential customers.
  • Experience and confidence pitching things youre passionate about.
  • Experience with technology and capturing your activity in a CRM is not necessary, but a plus.
  • Perseverance and grit youre a hustler, and youre not afraid of rejection.
  • Top-notch people skills you have bags of emotional intelligence and can persuade even the toughest of prospects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Business Administration, Communication, Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, in addition to spoken Mandarin Chinese, Malay, or Tamil
  • Visionary, self-motivated, and laser-focused on exceeding set goals
