Overview
We are looking for a highly driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager with a strong hunter mindset to aggressively acquire new customers and grow market share in Singapore.
The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, thrives on prospecting and closing, and possesses deep freight forwarding knowledge to develop tailored logistics solutions for customers across air and sea freight import/export.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition by identifying, targeting, and securing new freight forwarding opportunities across key verticals.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate target accounts and industries.
- Build a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
- Conduct customer meetings, needs analysis, and solution presentations to position competitive logistics solutions.
- Prepare compelling proposals, RFQs, and pricing strategies in collaboration with the pricing and operations teams.
- Lead commercial negotiations and close deals to achieve and exceed assigned revenue and GP targets.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and handover of new accounts through structured implementation processes.
- Maintain strong post-sale engagement to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Conduct MBRs/QBRs for strategic accounts to protect and expand revenue streams.
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and customer requirements
Requirements &Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding sales or commercial experience.
- Basic understanding of air and sea freight import/export operations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Confident, proactive, and resilient personality.
- Results-oriented with strong drive to exceed targets.
