As the Manager of Business Development, you will play a key role in driving business growth by developing strategic partnerships and executing expansion plans. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research, identifying new business leads, and development of strategic partnerships. You will also play a key role in maintaining and nurturing relationships with key clients and partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that supports the growth and expansion of the company's shipping and maritime business
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, including shipping industry leaders and regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, operations, finance, legal, and marketing, to develop and implement business development plans that support the shipping business objectives
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the company's market position and ensure its competitive edge in the industry.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the shipping industry
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's businesses, including its products, services, and customer base
- Assist in providing regular reporting to senior leadership on business development activities, and revenue performance
- Stay up-to-date on shipping industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in management, shipping, business or marketing related field
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present to senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective business development plans within the shipping industry
