The Role

We seek a dynamic and self-motivated Business Development Manager for our APAC team managing South East Asia region. The candidate must have worked in a business-to-business sales role in any industry preferably PE, consulting, market research, technology, etc. PE is a new industry we are working to develop in 2025, so we need an experienced business development manager to work on strategy, team, client engagement and most importantly understanding client needs and competitive landscape of the region. This is an important growth strategy pillar for Atheneum's topline growth.

Responsibilities /Role Deliverables

  • Conduct outreach, lead meetings, manage negotiations, deliver presentations, and close deals.
  • Focus on cold outreach to drive new business opportunities.
  • Expertise in Finance, PE, SaaS, and Solutions sales, targeting multimillion-dollar deals.
  • Build strong client relationships and navigate contract negotiations.
  • Adapt strategies based on market insights and industry trends.

Profiles We Are Seeking / Job Requirements

  • Experience in PE sales, with a preference for candidates familiar with selling to PE clients.
  • Strong understanding of the market & stakeholders including key players and industry dynamics.
  • Outstanding persuasion, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent rapport building, client engagement and consultative selling skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • A team player with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strength in problem-solving and issue resolution, an ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
