Responsibilities:
- Contribute to international business development by researching and identifying global trade and investment opportunities for the Government and private sector.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships and networks with key Government and business stakeholders in Singapore and the home jurisdiction.
- Respond to information requests from internal departments and external businesses.
- Promote the home jurisdiction and its key economic sectors to international stakeholders.
- Conduct industry and market analysis to identify potential value addition, trade, and investment opportunities for the local economy.
- Identify trade and investment opportunities in Singapore and provide support for home-based businesses seeking to internationalize.
- Assist and coordinate inbound official visits, trade missions, and business events that promote local products and services.
- Monitor significant developments in the economic and business environment that impact local commercial interests and prepare briefs and reports.
- Participate in the development and implementation of office systems and strategic business planning.
CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate effective leadership and integrity by complying with the Departmental Code of Conduct and all Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in International Business, Economics, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role involving trade promotion, investment attraction, international business development, or economic development.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government officials, industry bodies, and business leaders.
- Practical experience in conducting market research, industry analysis, and preparing briefs and reports for senior management.
- Experience in coordinating events, trade missions, or business delegations.
