Job Description

Role Summary

This role is responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding NNR Singapore's market presence through strategic customer development.

The position is expected to independently identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities, including large and global accounts, while contributing to overall revenue and gross profit growth.

Key Responsibilities

2.1 New Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target industries
  • Build and manage a pipeline of strategic accounts, including large and global accounts
  • Actively pursue new customer acquisition through direct engagement, networking, and market intelligence

2.2 Account Development

  • Develop and execute account strategies for key prospects
  • Engage decision-makers and multiple stakeholders within target organizations
  • Lead commercial discussions including pricing, solution proposals, and negotiations

2.3 Revenue and Profit Responsibility

  • Achieve assigned revenue and gross profit targets
  • Drive sustainable and profitable business growth
  • Ensure commercial viability of all new business secured

2.4 Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with operations teams and overseas offices to deliver customer solutions
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure service quality and execution
  • Support cross-border collaboration within the NNR network

2.5 Sales Management and Reporting

  • Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline
  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts
  • Ensure proper documentation and visibility of business development activities

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Performance will be evaluated based on, but not limited to, the following:

  • New customer acquisition (number and quality)
  • New business gross profit contribution
  • Pipeline development (value, quality, and conversion rate)
  • Strategic account engagement (multi-level access and relationship depth)
  • Achievement of assigned revenue and gross profit targets

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry
  • Minimum 10 years of sales / business development experience
  • Proven track record in new business acquisition (hunter role) with measurable revenue / gross profit contribution
  • Experience in acquiring and managing multinational or large regional accounts
  • Strong ability to engage with senior decision-makers (C-level / regional stakeholders)
  • Experience in cross-border logistics solutions and multi-country coordination
  • Ability to develop and propose end-to-end logistics solutions
  • Strong pipeline management and conversion capability
  • Highly independent, self-driven, and results-oriented
  • Ability to deliver tangible business results within the first 6-12 months
  • Not limited to account servicing must demonstrate a strong new business acquisition mindset
