Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & Market Development
Identify, prioritise and develop high-potential industries and customer accounts across Singapore and targeted markets, particularly within electronics, semiconductors, electroplating and related industrial sectors.
Develop market penetration strategies to expand industrial sourcing opportunities and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
Stay current on relevant government regulations, environmental requirements, Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer obligations and market developments affecting sourcing activities.
Business Acquisition & Customer Development
Build and manage a pipeline of industrial prospects and strategic customer accounts.
Identify and qualify suitable sourcing opportunities in line with commercial viability and business objectives.
Work closely with the Laboratory team to assess material recovery feasibility and commercial suitability.
Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations to secure long-term supply contracts.
Manage the full business development cycle from prospecting and negotiation through contract closure and account development.
Grow existing customer accounts through recurring business opportunities.
Team Leadership & Commercial Execution
Lead, organise and develop the business development team to achieve revenue, gross profit and pipeline targets.
Set clear weekly and monthly KPIs, conduct regular deal reviews and provide hands-on coaching to strengthen execution and commercial discipline.
Act as a player-coach by personally managing strategic accounts and high-value opportunities.
Commercial Governance & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Negotiate commercially sound pricing structures, collection terms and contract conditions that meet profitability expectations.
Ensure compliance with KYC requirements and internal risk management procedures.
Work closely with Laboratory, Operations, Finance and related teams to ensure smooth execution and strong customer service delivery.
Any other ad hoc duties assigned
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in precious metals, recycling or related sectors
Proven track record of acquiring industrial customers and closing commercially profitable deals
Experience leading and developing a sales or business development team
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and professional presentation capability
Inquisitive and analytical, with the ability to understand customer operations, identify potential risks and propose practical solutions
