Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Business Development & Sales:
Identify and develop new business opportunities by reaching out to ship owners, ship managers, fleet operators, and shipyards.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Register the company with new customers and ensure inclusion in approved vendor lists to generate continuous enquiries.
Achieve annual sales, revenue, and client retention targets as defined by management.
Commercial Management:
Act as the primary commercial point of contact for all client enquiries.
Coordinate with Service and Technical teams to close quotations issued by the Service team.
Secure new Fleet Service Agreements (FSA) and manage timely renewal of existing FSAs.
Prepare, review, and negotiate tenders, commercial proposals, service contracts, and framework agreements.
Strategy & Market Intelligence:
Develop and implement sales strategies for LSA, FFE, and technical service work profiles in line with company objectives.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer expectations.
Advise teams on required changes in sales or service strategy based on market intelligence.
Internal Coordination:
Work closely with the Technical Manager and Service Manager to obtain technical clarifications, define job scope, and ensure commercial feasibility.
Ensure all sales activities, contracts, and client communications comply with the company's QMS, internal procedures, approved conditions, and client technical scope as well as Class and Flag limitations.
Coordinate with the Finance team for payment follow-ups, outstanding receivables, and commercial risk control.
Support internal teams during contract clarifications and client escalations.
Liaise with Technical Coordinators, Technical Superintendents, and Fleet Managers for closure of existing and upcoming service jobs.
Coordinate with shipyards and repair facilities for upcoming dry-dock and project-based service opportunities.
Representation & Reporting:
Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings.
Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM records.
Prepare periodic sales reports covering sales performance, hit rates, client feedback, market conditions, and opportunities for management review.
Qualifications
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Business Administration, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Sales or commercial training certification is preferred.
Minimum 8-10 years experience in marine services, LSA/FFE, ship management, or technical sales.
Proven experience in marine sales and contract negotiation.
Strong knowledge of SOLAS, LSA Code, and applicable marine regulations.
Basic technical understanding of LSA and FFE systems.
