The Function:
The Business Development Manager (LNG) is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing strategic business opportunities in the LNG sector. This role requires a strong analytical and commercial mindset, ability to navigate complex customer interactions and internal processes, and excellent advocacy, relationship-building and collaboration skills.
The successful candidate will work closely with the LNG Trading Team to ensure alignment between business development initiatives and trading strategies. This collaboration is essential to translating ideas and opportunities into actionable initiatives that support ATC's objectives. This role is pivotal in shaping ATC's LNG growth strategy and enhancing its market presences.
Key Accountabilities:
. Opportunity Identification and Development: Identify and develop LNG business opportunities in existing or new markets to drive volumetric growth and economic returns. Leverage market intelligence, industry trends, and stakeholder engagement to pursue opportunities.
. Strategic Positioning and Alignment: Contribute to the development of ATC's mid-to long-term LNG strategy. Ensure all initiatives are aligned with the company's vision, mission, and strategic goals.
. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, traders, clients, and external parties to facilitate business development and project execution.
. Commercial Structuring and Negotiation: Lead or support the negotiation of commercial agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, MoUs, Heads of Agreement, Sales and Purchase Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, innovative financial structures to enable market entry or mitigate risks.
. Execution and Implementation Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective execution of approved business initiatives.
. Feasibility Studies and Business Case Development: Prepare detailed feasibility studies, financial models, and business cases to support the decision-making and the realization of commercially viable opportunities.
. Economic and Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive economic evaluation of business opportunities, including revenue forecasts, cost structures, cash flow projections, EBIT, and other key financial metrics.
. Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, policy developments, and competitive landscape to make informed strategic decisions.
Requirements:
. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree. Science, Engineering, Marketing, International Trade, Economics, or Business administration is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the gas industry with direct exposure to LNG marketing and contract negotiations (including short and long-term sales and purchase agreements) is required.
. Analytic and Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic insights. Proficient in financial modelling, risk-reward assessments, and economic evaluations to support sound commercial decision-marking.
. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft persuasive documents. Strong advocacy and influencing capabilities to articulate positions effectively and foster understanding across diverse stakeholders.
. Learning Agility and Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and thrive in dynamic environments. Resourceful and committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.
