Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence in the commodity wholesale sector. The role focuses on sourcing new business opportunities, managing import and export operations, and building strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in local and overseas markets to increase revenue
- Manage import and export activities by sourcing suppliers and handling international trade processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and suppliers to foster long-term partnerships
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with business partners to secure favorable agreements
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and competitor activities to inform and support business strategies
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and optimize supply chain efficiency
- Achieve sales targets by executing strategic plans and expanding product distribution channels
- Explore new markets to broaden product reach and increase market share
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field
- Experience in import and export procedures and international trade regulations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Existing network of suppliers or buyers in the commodity market
- Knowledge of logistics, shipping documentation, and customs processes
