Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (Carpentry) is responsible for growing the Company's carpentry and joinery business by sourcing new projects, managing client relationships, and securing carpentry packages for interior fit-out and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify and secure new business opportunities for carpentry and joinery business.
- Develop relationships with interior designers, main contractors, developers, and direct clients.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline and meet revenue targets.
- Promote the Company's carpentry capabilities, fabrication quality, and design solutions.
2. Tendering & Pricing
- Source and manage carpentry tenders and RFQs.
- Prepare accurate pricing according to clients requirements.
- Review drawings, material specifications, shop drawings, and scopes of work.
- Participate in negotiations and finalisation of contracts.
3. Client & Project Coordination
- Attend design coordination meetings and site briefings when required.
- Ensure smooth handover of awarded projects to Project and Production teams.
- Maintain strong post-award client relationships to encourage repeat business.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Building, Interior Design, Business, or related fields.
- Minimum 3-6 years of BD or sales experience in carpentry, joinery, or interior fit-out.
- Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and site installation.
- Established network within interior design and fit-out industry preferred.
You will be measured based on:
- Carpentry sales revenue and margins
- Number of awarded carpentry projects
- Tender success rate
- Repeat client rate
