Job Summary
We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the expansion of our international gold mining portfolio. This role combines geological expertise with strategic business development to identify, evaluate, and advance greenfield gold projects from early-stage assessment through development readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification and assessment of greenfield gold opportunities by analyzing geological data and leveraging industry networks to drive project advancement
- Evaluate exploration data, resource estimates, and technical reports to inform strategic decision-making and project viability
- Support exploration programs, scoping studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, and due diligence processes to ensure thorough project evaluation
- Coordinate permitting strategy and regulatory compliance to facilitate project development and operational readiness
- Prepare detailed technical and commercial materials that support investment decisions and capital raising initiatives
- Source acquisition, joint venture, and partnership opportunities within the gold sector to expand the company's portfolio and market presence
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis and project valuation to guide strategic growth and investment priorities
- Support negotiation processes and develop investment memoranda and proposals to secure partnerships and funding
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, government agencies, and industry partners to enhance business opportunities
- Represent the company at industry conferences and cross-border engagements to promote the company's interests and network strategically
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Mining Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in gold exploration, mining project development, or mining-focused business development
- Proven ability to evaluate greenfield mining projects and translate technical findings into actionable business strategies
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally to support business development activities and stakeholder engagement
