Business Development Manager ( Freight forwarding / East)

Key Responsibilities:

• Hunt and develop new businesses with a focus on General Freight (Air & Sea) with the aim to positively impact the profitability of the Company.

• Proactively identify and develop potential customers in accordance with the company's objectives.

• Follow -up on leads for potential customers.

• Monitor and evaluate market trends and dynamics with the objective to identify and establish new business opportunities.

• Participate in Customer Relationship Management activities and initiatives to improve business relationships, customer retention and new businesses from existing customers.

• Work in partnership with Commercial and Operations teams to achieve service excellence.

Requirements:

• Possess Tertiary qualifications.

• Experience in business development in logistics. logistics and Freight Forwarding.

• Possess 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar capacity.

• Possess commercial acumen.

• Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to make impactful presentations.

• Negotiation skills

• Self-motivated to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
