Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a high-impact, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to drive Data Center segment growth across Southeast Asia.

This role will be covering Eaton B line product(cable ladder/tray).

Can be based in Singapore or Malaysia.

This is a hunter role with full ownership of growth, responsible for building the business from pipeline creation → specification → project conversion → revenue.

You will play a critical role in positioning Eaton B-Line & Crouse Hinds Series as a preferred solution provider for cable management systems & electrical bulk products in mission-critical data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Segment Ownership & Growth

• Own and execute the Data Center growth strategy in Southeast Asia

• Build and manage a robust project pipeline (short-, mid-, long-term)

• Identify high-value opportunities across hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise data centers

2. Key Account Development & Ecosystem Influence

• Develop and manage relationships with:

• Hyperscalers (cloud players)

• Colocation operators

• EPC contractors

• Engineering consultants & designers

• Influence stakeholders early in the project lifecycle to drive specification inclusion

3. Specification & Project Conversion

• Lead spec-in activities for Cable Tray and Wire Basket solutions

• Work with engineering teams to deliver:

• Optimized layouts

• Value engineering / cost optimization proposals

• Convert pipeline into secured orders and revenue growth

4. Commercial Execution

• Partner with local sales teams to execute project strategies and close deals

• Lead pricing positioning in competitive bids

• Ensure profitable growth with strong margin discipline

5. Market Intelligence & Strategy

• Track:

• Data center investments and expansion plans

• Competitive landscape

• Customer requirements (speed, modularity, cost efficiency)

• Translate insights into actionable go-to-market strategies

6. Cross-functional Leadership

• Collaborate with:

• Marketing (campaigns, demand generation)

• Product management (portfolio localization)

• Supply chain (local-for-local execution)

• Drive internal alignment to support scalable growth

Key Success Metrics (KPIs)

• Data Center revenue growth (YoY)

• Pipeline size and quality (conversion rate)

• Number of key accounts developed (hyperscalers / colocation / EPCs)

• Specification wins

• Project conversion rate

• Gross margin performance

Candidate Profile

Must-Have

• 5–10+ years in business development / sales within:

• Data center infrastructure, OR

• Electrical / cable management / MEP solutions

• Strong network with EPCs, consultants, or data center developers

• Proven track record of winning large-scale projects

Preferred

• Experience in:

• Cable tray / wire basket / containment systems

• Data center design standards (Tier III / IV, Uptime Institute, etc.)

• Engineering background (Electrical / Mechanical)
