Job Description

WorldFirst is looking for a Partner Business Development Manager to support the expansion of our cross-border personal remittance business. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and launching strategic partnerships with banks, wallets, remittance companies, fintechs, and other financial institutions that can help grow our remittance network, strengthen our market position, and unlock new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Partnership Strategy & Execution

  • Translate the overall strategy for cross-border personal remittance into clear partnership expansion plans.
  • Drive execution of partnership initiatives to deliver agreed business targets and outcomes.

Market & Partner Understanding

  • Build a deep understanding of the cross-border remittance industry, including key partner institutions, their positioning, strengths, competitive context, and how they align with our business priorities.
  • Use market and partner insights to inform partnership strategy and identify high-potential opportunities.

Partner Identification & Proposal Development

  • Identify, analyze, and understand the needs of potential partners and institutional clients.
  • Design tailored partnership proposals and solutions to grow and deepen cross-border financial partnerships.

Cross-Functional Project Delivery

  • Lead and coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including Product, Tech, Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and partner teams.
  • Ensure business and product initiatives are delivered on time, implemented with high quality, and generate tangible business results.

Business Opportunity & Product Development

  • Develop strong knowledge of relevant industry products, solutions, and commercial models.
  • Continuously identify new business opportunities and propose new remittance business models or product enhancements.
  • Drive projects end-to-end, from idea generation and scoping through to launch.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience in business development, partner management, partnerships, or B2B sales within financial institutions, remittance companies, fintech, payments, or related sectors.
  • Solid understanding of the cross-border remittance or payments industry, including key business processes, product types, and commercial models.
  • Good awareness of domestic and international industry trends, with foundational knowledge of risk management and compliance in financial services.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills, with proven ability to work across functions and drive complex initiatives to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability in client acquisition and relationship management; experience crafting and delivering client solution proposals is a strong plus.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; experience working across regions and cultures is highly preferred.
