Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Development & Trade Relationship Building

- Systematically identify, approach, and develop relationships with interior design practices, architectural firms, property developers, and branded residence operators across Singapore and target Southeast Asian markets, with the explicit objective of establishing the client as their preferred luxury furniture partner.
- Build and maintain a structured, tiered account management programme for the trade community, ensuring that the most commercially significant design practices receive regular, meaningful engagement - product updates, studio visits, brand presentations, and project collaboration opportunities. - Develop and own a comprehensive, living database of trade contacts across the region, maintaining accurate records of firm profiles, project pipelines, key decision-makers, and relationship history, and using this intelligence to drive proactive outreach and follow-up.
- Represent the client at industry events, trade fairs, CPD presentations, and design community gatherings, building the brand's visibility and profile within Singapore's professional design and development community.

  • Pipeline Generation & Opportunity Management

- Proactively identify and qualify new contract and residential project opportunities at the earliest possible stage -tracking development pipelines, planning applications, and design procurement activity across Singapore and target regional markets to position the client ahead of specification decisions.
- Build and maintain a robust, accurately valued sales pipeline, providing the Managing Director with regular pipeline reviews covering opportunity status, probability weighting, anticipated timelines, and required actions.
- Lead the commercial pursuit of significant contract opportunities - branded residence towers, luxury hospitality projects, and high-end multi-unit residential developments - from initial specifier engagement through to proposal presentation, negotiation, and handover to the internal project and technical teams.
- Drive residential project referrals from the design community, ensuring that designers specifying on projects in Singapore and across Southeast Asia direct their clients to the Singapore showroom and remain actively engaged throughout the sales process.

  • Brand Development & Regional Influence

- Develop and execute a structured programme of trade engagement activity - including studio presentations, CPD sessions, showroom events, product launches, and design community networking - that raises client's profile and specification rate among the professional design community in Singapore and key regional markets.
- Track and leverage the movement of Singapore-based designers and architects specifying on projects across Southeast Asia - Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and beyond - ensuring Singapore captures the specification and supply opportunity wherever in the region those projects land.
- Build relationships with the global network - particularly other flagship showrooms in the region - to facilitate cross-border project collaboration, share market intelligence, and align on regional design community strategies where relevant.
- Provide the Managing Director with regular market intelligence reports, covering competitor activity, design community sentiment, emerging project opportunities, and shifts in specification trends across the luxury residential and hospitality sectors.

  • Developer & Hospitality Sector Engagement

- Cultivate direct relationships with Singapore's leading residential developers and hospitality groups, establishing the client's position as the specification partner of choice for branded residence programmes, show suites, model apartments, and premium hotel FF&E packages.
- Identify and engage procurement teams, interior specification consultants, and project directors at the development stage, before design briefs are finalised and before competitive tender processes begin.
- Coordinate showroom familiarisation visits, brand immersion experiences, and product presentations for developer and hospitality clients, working with the Managing Director and internal teams to deliver a compelling and commercially structured proposal process.

  • Dada Kitchen Specialist Sales

- Act as the dedicated kitchen sales specialist for the Dada brand within the Singapore showroom and across the regional market, bringing deep product knowledge, design
credibility, and commercial focus to a category that demands a high level of technical and aesthetic expertise to specify and sell effectively.
- Proactively target interior designers, architects, and residential developers who are actively specifying or procuring premium kitchens for high-end residential projects, branded residence towers, and hospitality developments, positioning Dada as the definitive choice in its category.
- Develop a specialist knowledge of the full Dada range - cabinetry systems, surface materials, hardware options, appliance integration, and bespoke configuration possibilities - and leverage this expertise to conduct compelling, technically informed kitchen presentations to both trade professionals and end clients.
- Work alongside the Technical Designer to develop kitchen layout proposals, space plans, and finish presentations at the appropriate stage in the sales process, ensuring that the quality and specificity of the design proposal matches the expectations of the Dada client profile.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of kitchen-specific opportunities across the retail and contract segments, reporting separately on Dada kitchen performance as a distinct commercial stream within the overall BD pipeline review.
- Engage the kitchen design and specification community beyond the traditional furniture trade - including kitchen showrooms, appliance brands, kitchen contractors, and related trade professionals - to build Dada's visibility and specification rate within a competitive and specialist category.
- Manage the kitchen sales process through to handover with full commercial accountability - from initial brief and layout proposal through to specification sign-off, quotation, order placement, and post-installation client care - collaborating with the Sales Administration Coordinator and Technical Designer at each stage.
Collaboration with the Internal Team
- Work in close collaboration with the Showroom Manager and sales consultants to ensure that leads and referrals from the design community are briefed in, picked up, and converted efficiently, with no opportunity lost in the handover between external business development and internal sales execution.
- Engage the Technical Designer on live opportunities, ensuring that design proposals, space plans, and product specifications are available to support the sales process at the appropriate stage and presented in a manner that positions the client compellingly.
- Feed market intelligence, competitor insight, and product feedback gathered in the field back into the business, contributing to informed decisions on showroom events, product stocking, and the overall development of Singapore's market positioning.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • an established and demonstrably warm network of interior designers, architects, and developers in Singapore is essential. Existing relationships across Southeast Asia - particularly in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, or Malaysia - are a significant advantage.
  • Proven track record of generating and converting significant project opportunities, with the commercial acumen to manage long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Understanding of the luxury residential and hospitality development landscape in Singapore and the region, including how specification decisions are made, who influences them, and at what stage in the project lifecycle the client needs to be present.
  • A formal qualification in interior design, architecture, or business is an advantage more important is the demonstrable ability to engage credibly at a senior level with both design professionals and commercial decision-makers.
