As part of our Southeast Asia growth strategy, Beyondsoft is expanding its Financial Services business in Malaysia and strengthening local client coverage across banks, financial institutions, and digital finance ecosystems.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive business growth within the Malaysia banking and financial services sector.

This role will focus on developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning Beyondsoft's IT services, financial technology, and digital transformation capabilities to banks and financial institutions.

The ideal candidate should have experience in enterprise sales, financial services, fintech, banking solutions, payment solutions, SaaS, or IT services, with the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders and develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, and financial services ecosystem players in Malaysia
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Beyondsoft's IT services, banking technology, fintech, SaaS, AI, data, cloud, and digital transformation solutions
  • Engage client stakeholders including business leaders, IT leaders, digital transformation teams, product teams, and procurement teams
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, opportunity qualification, solution discussion, proposal coordination, negotiation, and contract closure
  • Work closely with internal pre-sales, solution, delivery, and regional teams to develop suitable client solutions
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline within the Malaysia BFSI market
  • Monitor banking, fintech, payment, and digital transformation trends in Malaysia
  • Support local market development and provide customer insights to regional leadership

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of B2B enterprise sales or business development experience, with proven hunter capability in new logo acquisition, pipeline generation, account opening, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, payment solutions, SaaS, IT services, or enterprise technology solutions
  • Existing relationship network within Malaysia BFSI, banks, fintech, payment ecosystem, or enterprise clients is highly preferred
  • Experience developing new business and managing complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Strong consultative selling, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with regional teams
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin speaking ability is preferred for collaboration with regional stakeholders
  • Malaysia citizen or permanent resident preferred

Preferred Background

  • Experience selling to banks, financial institutions, digital banks, payment companies, or regulated enterprise clients
  • Familiarity with banking technology, digital banking, payment systems, data solutions, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, managed services, or outsourcing solutions
  • Experience with RFPs, enterprise procurement, solution proposals, and long-cycle sales
  • Ability to open new accounts and develop local customer relationships

Candidate Profile We Are Looking For

We are looking for a practical business development professional who understands the Malaysia BFSI market and can help Beyondsoft build stronger local customer coverage.

The candidate does not need to come only from traditional banking software sales. Relevant backgrounds may include fintech, payment gateway, digital wallet, banking solutions, SaaS, IT services, cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity, managed services, or enterprise technology sales.
