Job Description
AV Intelligence (https://www.av-intelligence.com) is an engineering-led audio-visual and lighting solutions provider serving premium residential and commercial projects in Singapore and Malaysia.
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive client engagement, develop new business opportunities, and support the delivery of high-performance AV solutions. This role requires both strong commercial capability and the ability to understand and translate technical requirements into practical, well-engineered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities across residential and commercial AV projects
Lead client engagement from initial consultation through proposal and project confirmation
Understand client requirements and translate them into AV system concepts and solution proposals
Prepare quotations, proposals, and system recommendations in collaboration with the engineering team
Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, and installation) to ensure smooth project execution
Monitor project progress and ensure alignment between client expectations and delivered solutions
Drive revenue growth and achieve assigned sales targets and performance KPIs
Maintain strong relationships with consultants, architects, interior designers, and industry partners
Support regional projects in Malaysia through coordination with the team where required
Scope of Solutions
Projects typically involve:
Home cinema and private theatre systems
High-fidelity (HiFi) and dedicated listening rooms
Multi-room and distributed audio systems
Commercial sound systems (restaurants, bars, clubs, corporate environments)
Acoustic consulting and treatment integration
AV system design, infrastructure planning, and consultancy
Control systems (e.g. Savant, RTI, Lutron)
Video display systems including large-format LED and projection
Lighting integration and control (where applicable)
Network and AV-over-IP coordination (where required)
Project Experience (Selected)
The company has delivered AV systems for a range of premium environments, including:
67 Pall Mall Singapore - Private members club with distributed audio, event spaces, and integrated AV systems
The British Club Singapore - Multi-zone AV upgrades across hospitality and member facilities

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or project management (preferably in AV, construction, or related technical industries)
Strong communication and client management skills
Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into practical solutions
Experience coordinating with technical teams or managing projects is an advantage
Familiarity with AV systems or control platforms (e.g. Savant, RTI, Lutron) is an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for proposal preparation and presentations
Working knowledge of AutoCAD for basic drawings, layouts, or coordination is an advantage
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
