About our client
Our client is a fast-growing clinical research organisation (CRO)
headquartered in Singapore with expanding operations across Asia-Pacific. The company
partners with global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sponsors to deliver
clinical development, pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and technology-enabled research
solutions.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to drive
sales execution and client acquisition activities across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
The role will focus on generating new business opportunities, managing sponsor
relationships, supporting proposal development, and contributing to regional revenue
growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business acquisition from pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device
sponsors
Develop and execute territory sales plans for Singapore and Asia-Pacific markets
Identify and pursue new opportunities through networking, conferences, and targeted
outreach
Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsor decision makers
Manage sales pipeline, lead qualification, and opportunity tracking
Support preparation of proposals, budgets, and bid defence presentations
Contribute to achievement of annual revenue and booking targets
Maintain accurate CRM updates and forecasting
Act as primary commercial contact for assigned clients
Support account growth strategies and cross-selling of services
Monitor regional market trends and competitor activity
Collaborate closely with clinical operations, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, and finance
teams
Represent us at industry conferences and client meetings
Qualifications & Experience
48 years of business development experience within CRO / clinical research industry
(mandatory)
Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets
Strong understanding of clinical trial services across phases IIV
Experience working with Asia-Pacific sponsors and regional markets preferred
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field (MBA preferred)
