The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and developing strategic partnerships for the company. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and executing market expansion strategies, particularly in regional markets.
This position plays a key role in translating business strategies into actionable sales pipelines and ensuring sustainable long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries and markets
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation to conversion
- Conduct client presentations, proposal pitching, and contract negotiations
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales KPIs
2. Market Expansion & Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities locally and overseas
- Support regional expansion initiatives (e.g., Southeast Asia / China markets)
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new services or markets
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities
3. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions
- Ensure high client satisfaction and retention
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
4. Partnerships & Collaboration
- Source and manage strategic partners, vendors, and collaborators
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, consultants, marketing) for project execution
- Support partnership agreements and business alliances
5. Proposal & Documentation
- Prepare business proposals, quotations, and presentations
- Support grant-related project structuring (where applicable)
- Ensure proper documentation of sales activities and client interactions
6. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track sales performance and prepare regular reports
- Maintain CRM systems and sales records
- Provide insights and recommendations to management
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles
- Experience in consultancy, services, or B2B environment preferred
