Job Description

Alpha ESS is a global energy storage solution provider with operations in more than 100 countries. With rapid growth in Southeast Asia, we are expanding our Malaysia market and looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to develop business opportunities in the energy storage sector.

This role will focus on commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage projects, partnerships with solar EPC companies, and business expansion in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

Identify and develop new business opportunities for energy storage solutions in Malaysia.

Build relationships with solar EPC companies, renewable energy developers, and industrial customers.

Develop and manage a pipeline of potential C&I energy storage projects.

Customer & Partner Engagement

Establish partnerships with solar installers, EPC contractors, and energy service providers.

Support partners in integrating energy storage with solar PV systems.

Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.

Project Development

Support project discussions including technical concept, commercial proposals, and pricing negotiations.

Work with internal engineering teams to deliver suitable solutions for customers.

Market Intelligence

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in Malaysia's renewable energy sector.

Provide insights to management regarding market opportunities and customer needs.

Requirements:

5-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or project development in:

Solar / Renewable energy/ Energy storage/ Electrical or power equipment industry

Able to travel to Malaysia frequently

Good Communication and troubleshooting skills

Proficient in English, Mandarin and Bahasa to liaise with the stakeholders.
