Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Manage the planning and execution of strategic growth programs across the entire value chain of XRG's liquefied natural gas (LNG), natural gas, and natural gas liquids (NGLs) ventures with focus on assigned market penetration through strategic investments and synergistic/non-synergistic acquisitions.
  • Capitalize on opportunities across the entire gas value chain within the assigned market aligning business development initiatives with marketing, deal execution and project/engineering execution, ensuring the XRG is well-positioned to create value and maintain a competitive edge in the assigned gas market.
  • Ensure provision of technical support to the Asset Management team optimizing the performance of existing investments in the LNG/Gas/NGLs portfolio.

International Gas Strategy

  • Participate and contribute in the development of overall value-chain specific strategies related to the Gas/NGL/LNG business segments for international growth and the support of portfolio management and optimization across the company while achieving company's growth, profitability and sustainability aspirations.
  • Ensure overall strategic goals are translated into business development programs for assigned market. Conduct strategic studies for the assigned markets by supporting key issues definition, data gathering and analysis, and conclusions and recommendation development to generate insights and conclusions that enable informed decisions.
  • Support identification of linkages and implications of developed strategies in other XRG activities and propose and implement effective actions.
  • Identify and highlight the key issues, risks, and opportunities that affect the XRG's performance and growth potential.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and performance of Gas business line against the established targets, objectives, and milestones, and report the results and deviations to the Executive Management on a regular basis.

Business Development

  • Develop roadmaps and business development programs for XRG's LNG/NGL/NG based on overall long term strategy, while managing the early Front-End Loading (FEL) stages to evaluate new business opportunities & conduct techno-economic studies in order to develop promising concepts to be incorporated in the XRG Business Plan and its value chains.
  • Execute the Gas business development programs within the international markets, with a specific focus on global NG/LNG/NGL opportunities and maximizing the value of the company's LNG and natural gas production through effective marketing and sales strategies.
  • Lead the identification and evaluation of international LNG/Gas/NGLs investment opportunities and develop market entry investment strategies and proposals strategies for target countries or regions.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed new business proposals and associated business plans to create supportive arguments for new business opportunities (within the assign region) which have been evaluated as having the potential to assist in the realisation of the XRG short & long term strategies.
  • Build relationships with international partners, governments, and key stakeholders
  • Drive geopolitical risk assessments for potential international investments, coordinating with local advisors and partners in target markets
  • Continuously monitor global LNG trade flows and demand-supply dynamics identifying opportunities for portfolio optimization through international investments.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science / Industrial Engineering or equivalent. Master's Degree in Business Management preferable.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in O&S sector, with at least 8 years in a leadership role within the energy sector private equity or venture capital funds, preferably including emerging markets.
  • Excellent communication skills, cutting through complexity, making complex scenarios simple, and understood by others.
  • A global outlook, capable of working comfortably in a cross-cultural team-oriented environment
  • Skills in negotiation, business planning and budgeting
  • Work experience and exposure to multiple facets in an integrated Oil & Gas company is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of marketing research analysis, pricing strategies and key stakeholder management.
  • Expertise in the O&G industry value chain with track record of successfully leading transformational changes such as restructuring/M&As
  • Experience in managing large-scale, capital-intensive O&G assets in a global landscape
  • Track record of successfully navigating M&A Activity, asset acquisitions, and divestitures maximizing long term asset value.
