Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the company's retail expansion and revenue growth. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, sourcing suitable locations for new outlets, and developing strategic partnerships to strengthen market presence. The candidate will play a key role in expanding the retail network and optimizing store performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to expand the company's retail footprint
- Source and secure suitable locations for new retail outlets, including conducting market research and feasibility studies
- Negotiate tenancy agreements, rental terms, and commercial contracts with landlords and property agents
- Develop and implement expansion strategies to increase store network and market share
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, business partners, and suppliers
- Analyze market trends, consumer demand, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with operations and merchandising teams to ensure successful store setup and launch
- Monitor performance of new and existing outlets, including sales, profitability, and return on investment
- Identify potential partnerships and new revenue streams within the retail sector
- Prepare business proposals, reports, and presentations for management review
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in business development, retail expansion, or leasing
- Proven experience in site sourcing, lease negotiation, and store expansion
- Strong understanding of retail operations and consumer market trends
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
