Business Development Lead

Location: Based in ASEAN, Remote (with regional travel across APAC and LATAM for trade shows and client meetings)

Reports to: CEO

Type: Full-time

DiMuto is a technology company transforming how fresh produce is traded across Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Our platform derisks the agricultural supply chain by turning every carton of produce into a verified digital asset, unlocking visibility, trust, and access to trade finance for growers, traders, retailers, and financiers. The Role

We are looking for a Business Development Lead to drive DiMuto's growth by building relationships, telling our story, and closing opportunities across our product suite (DiMutoClear, DiMutoPay, and PQAI). This is a fully remote, commercially focused, front-facing role for someone who thrives on communication and presentation, and who can move fast by leveraging AI tools in their daily workflow.

You will own the pipeline from first conversation to signed deal, represent DiMuto at industry trade shows and with partners, and translate complex technology into clear value for customers.

What You'll Do

  • Own business development end to end: identify, engage, and convert prospects across growers, traders, importers/exporters, and financiers.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demos to customers, partners, and investors, both remotely and in person.
  • Represent DiMuto at major fresh produce trade exhibitions (Fruit Logistica, Asia Fruit Logistica, IFPA, Macfrut, and regional shows), building relationships and generating qualified leads.
  • Craft proposals, pitch decks, and follow-up communications that lead with value and close deals.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, tracking opportunities and reporting on progress.
  • Work closely with product and leadership to feed market insights back into strategy.
  • Use AI tools (such as Claude) to accelerate research, drafting, deck production, market analysis, and outreach, working smarter and faster than a traditional BD hire.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years in business development, sales, partnerships, or a client-facing commercial role, ideally in agri-trade, supply chain, SaaS, fintech, or B2B technology.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills; comfortable and persuasive in front of customers, partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication; able to produce polished decks, proposals, and emails independently.
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to boost productivity across research, content creation, and analysis. You should be someone who reaches for AI first.
  • Proven ability to work independently and stay productive in a fully remote setup, managing your own pipeline and time across time zones.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally for trade shows and client meetings.
  • Genuine interest in technology, agriculture, and how digitalization can solve real trade problems.

Nice to Have

  • Existing network in fresh produce, agri-food, or trade finance.
  • Experience with trade finance, invoice factoring, or payment products.
  • Additional languages relevant to APAC or LATAM markets.
