Job Posting: Business Development & Government Partnerships Manager (Korea)

About the Role

We're looking for a strategic builder who thrives at the intersection of government relations, partnerships, and commercial expansion. In this role, you will help establish market presence, build influential alliances, and shape mobility frameworks that support long-term growth across Singapore and Korea.

Responsibilities:

Market Development & Government Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant public agencies and regulators.
  • Lead discussions on shared mobility regulations, sandbox licensing, and sustainable transport policies.
  • Ensure compliance readiness, timely license submissions, and proactive risk management.
  • Represent in industry associations, mobility committees, and working groups to position the brand as a trusted partner in smart mobility policy.

Strategic & Commercial Partnerships

  • Identify, develop, and negotiate partnerships with real estate, tourism, lifestyle, and corporate sectors to enable deployment zones and co-branded initiatives.
  • Build partnerships with universities, local governments, and sustainability programs to drive adoption and community engagement.
  • Explore B2B and B2G opportunities, including leasing models, advertising placements, and integrations with digital platforms
  • Co-lead pilot programs and revenue-generating initiatives tailored to each market's needs.

Internal Coordination & Reporting

  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Legal teams to align market realities with company strategy.
  • Manage BD trackers, proposal decks, market pipelines, and performance dashboards.
  • Deliver regular market intelligence insightsincluding competitor updates and regulatory trendsto the GM and HQ stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean, plus strong English communication skills.
  • 37 years of experience in business development, public affairs, or partnerships within mobility, tech, or government-linked sectors.
  • Strong understanding of local government processes and corporate ecosystems in Korea.
  • Proven skills in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management across public and private sectors.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset capable of operating autonomously in fast-moving, multicultural environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Public Policy, Urban Studies, or related fields (MBA an advantage).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with mobility operators, urban planning, or transport technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with licensing frameworks related to shared mobility, transportation policy.
  • Prior involvement in market entry or cross-border expansion projects in Korea.
