The Role - Business Development Executive (Training &Workforce Development)

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to grow our corporate training business. In this role, you will engage companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations to
promote industry-relevant training programs and workforce development solutions. Whether you're a fresh graduate looking to start your career or an experienced professional seeking meaningful impact, we welcome proactive and results-driven individuals to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, government, education, and community sectors.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns,phone engagement, and industry events.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers to understand workforce development and training needs.
Client Engagement & Training Solutions Sales
- Meet clients to understand their learning and development objectives and recommend suitable training solutions.
- Promote GVSH's Skills Future-supported and industry-relevant training programs.
- Advise clients on available funding support schemes and workforce development opportunities.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and training recommendations tailored to client needs.
Proposal Development & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and deliver impactful presentations and proposals to management teams, HR professionals, and key stakeholders.
- Build long-term partnerships through proactive engagement and excellent client service.
Market Research & Business Strategy
- Stay updated on Skills Future initiatives, workforce development trends, and industry developments.
- Identify growth opportunities and support the execution of sales and partnership strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with training, operations, and marketing teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client engagements, and business opportunities.
- Track performance against sales targets and contribute to regular reporting.

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders across different industries.
- Comfortable with outreach activities, including emails, phone calls, LinkedIn engagement, networking events, and client meetings.
- Willing to learn about Skills Future initiatives, workforce development programs, and training grants.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Candidates with experience in business development, sales, account management, training, education, or workforce development will have an advantage.
