Job OverviewWe're looking for a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Executive / Manager to support our marketing-led growth efforts across Australia. This role will focus on identifying new partnership opportunities, helping promote Tiny Away escapes, and driving brand visibility and occupancy through strategic collaborations and lead generation.
You'll be working at the intersection of business development and marketing, helping Big Tiny grow its network of partners, hosts, tourism bodies, and marketing channels, while also helping tell the story of our escapes to a wider audience.
Job Responsibilities- Partnership Development: Identify, reach out to, and onboard new partners – including regional tourism boards, property owners, travel agencies, influencers, and relevant brands
- Lead Generation: Develop and manage a pipeline of B2B leads for strategic growth opportunities (e.g., landowners for hosting, affiliate marketing platforms, content collaborations)
- Campaign Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to launch joint campaigns, seasonal promotions, and co-branded initiatives to increase bookings and brand awareness
- Market Research & Insights: Stay informed about tourism trends, eco-travel demand, and competitor offerings to help shape strategic direction
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain and update lead/contact information, track outreach progress, and support regular reporting on business development metrics and opportunities
- Event Support: Represent Tiny Away at travel expos, partner events, and industry networking opportunities
- Support takeover of new parks: Support the purchase and integration of new parks, from doing market research, various transfer tasks, hiring of personnel, relaunching a new park with a new design concept
- Corporate Sales: Sell rooms, event space to corporations and event organizers
Job Requirement- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field
- 1–5 (depending on job seniority) years of experience in a business development, partnerships, or marketing role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; confidence in presenting ideas and building relationships
- Organized, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong ability to multitask
- Comfortable using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive) and basic marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, social media tools)
- Understanding of or interest in travel, regional tourism, and sustainable living trends
- Prior experience in tourism, hospitality, or a start-up environment is a plus
