  • Job Description

    Our client is a Lighting Electrical Contractor specializing in various construction projects, including F&B outlets, retail spaces, commercial buildings, and more. They are currently looking for a Business Development Executive (Japanese speaking) to drive business growth, expand market presence, and foster strong relationships with consultants, architects, and developers.

    Responsibilities
    1) Business Development & Market Expansion
    - Identify and pursue new customers and project opportunities.
    - Build and maintain relationships with Lighting Consultants, Architects, Interior Designers, Developers, and Main Contractors.
    - Promote the Koizumi brand and product solutions in the market.
    - Conduct product presentations and brand awareness activities.
    - Monitor market trends and identify potential sectors or clients for expansion.

    2) Specification & Project Development
    - Collaborate with consultants and designers to secure lighting specifications for Koizumi products.
    - Support early-stage design discussions and project planning.
    - Prepare marketing materials and product presentation slides.
    - Coordinate with internal technical teams to develop and support design proposals.

    3) Client Relationship Management
    - Maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.
    - Follow up with consultants and developers to track project progress and opportunities.
    - Represent the company at industry meetings, networking events, and presentations.

    4) Coordination with Sales Team
    - Collaborate closely with Sales Engineers to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
    - Share project information and client contacts with the sales team to ensure smooth handover.

    5) Other Duties
    - Perform any other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    Requirements & Preferences

    (Must)
    - Diploma or Degree in any field
    - At least 3 years of B2B sales experience
    - Proficiency in English and Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N2) to communicate effectively with English and Japanese-speaking counterparts in relevant regions
    - Strong presentation and communication skills

    (Advantageous)
    - Knowledge or experience in lighting products is an advantage (Product training will be provided)
    - Experience working in building materials or a construction company
    - Experience working in a Japanese company or a similar business culture
