Role Nature:
80% Hunter (new business development)
20% Farmer (existing client management)
The Business Development Executive supports the sales team in generating leads, building client relationships, and closing sales within the freight forwarding industry.
This role involves market research, proactive client outreach, and close coordination with internal teams to ensure smooth shipment execution and customer satisfaction.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in freight forwarding (air & sea).
Proactively follow up on sales leads and maintain regular communication with clients to understand their logistics needs.
Achieve monthly sales targets and support the company's overall revenue objectives.
Attend client meetings, trade shows, and networking events as required.
Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment execution and high customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate documentation of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
1-5 years of sales experience in the freight forwarding industry (mandatory).
Strong interest in sales and international logistics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Highly self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with Incoterms and air/sea freight documentation is an advantage.
