Job Summary:
Drive business expansion across Pan-Asia and Oceania by leading market-driven product planning, distributor development, and innovative sales initiatives within the fishing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market research across Pan-Asian (including Russia) and Oceania markets to identify growth opportunities and customer needs.
- Develop product planning and new product proposals based on market insights and original hypotheses.
- Identify, develop, and onboard new distributors and customers to expand regional market presence.
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and propose strategies to increase sales and market penetration.
- Build and manage networks with local influencers, field testers, and fishing-related communities to support brand visibility and product adoption.
- Support additional business development and sales-related initiatives as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record in new business development.
- Strong interest in, passion for, and practical knowledge of fishing and related products.
- Japanese language proficiency (Conversational Level is acceptable) required for effective communication with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience conducting market research and translating insights into commercial proposals.
- Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify issues and drive initiatives independently.
- Experience working at a Japanese company is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in the fishing tackle industry is an added advantage.
- Experience in SNS marketing or influencer marketing is an added advantage.
- Experience in sales within Asian markets is an added advantage.
