Job Responsibilities
. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the logistics, transportation and supply chain sectors.
. Source and engage potential clients through calls, meetings, networking and business referrals.
. Understand clients logistics requirements and propose suitable service solutions.
. Prepare quotations, business proposals, presentations and tender submissions.
. Negotiate pricing, service terms and commercial agreements with clients.
. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
. Work closely with the Operations team to ensure that clients requirements can be fulfilled effectively.
. Monitor service performance and follow up on customer feedback or operational issues.
. Conduct market research and monitor competitors, industry developments and customer needs.
. Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
. Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or a related field.
. Relevant experience in business development, sales, logistics or transportation is preferred.
. Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
. Self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented.
. Able to build and maintain strong client relationships.
. Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
. Able to work independently and collaborate with Operations and internal departments.
