Job Summary
Drive business growth by developing sheet metal and machining clients across Singapore and Southeast Asia, delivering technical solutions and maintaining strong client relationships to achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new sheet metal and machining clients in Singapore and Southeast Asia to achieve defined sales targets
- Gather and analyze Singapore market information, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic business decisions
- Respond to client inquiries by preparing accurate quotations and communicating technical proposals to support sales conversion
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through timely follow-up on orders and feedback to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to verify technical compliance and resolve client requirements effectively
- Support industry exhibitions and brand promotion activities in Singapore to enhance company visibility and market presence
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of business development experience in sheet metal or machining within Singapore manufacturing sector preferred
- Proficient understanding of sheet metal processes and Singapore industry standards preferred
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to manage client interactions and handle pressure situations preferred
- Basic ability to read technical drawings is an advantage
- Fluency in English is required Mandarin proficiency is preferred to facilitate communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and colleagues in China
