ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring our first Business Development Director in Singapore/HK - a strategic, high-impact role responsible for building and scaling Statrys outbound sales function from the ground up.
This role goes beyond selling as you will design the sales playbook, pioneer outreach strategies for SME acquisition across Singapore and Hong Kong, and work closely with Tech and Operations to evolve our platform fora BD-driven model.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Sales & Client Acquisition
- Develop and execute outbound strategies to acquire SME clients in Singapore and Hong Kong.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline for Statrys full suite of solutions (Business Accounts, Corporate Administration, and Accounting Services).
- Achieve revenue and acquisition KPIs, reporting on weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance.
Process & Team Building
- Design the outbound sales framework, including lead generation workflows,qualification criteria, and reporting structure.
- Establish best practices and recommend tools (e.g. CRM, lead tracking systems) as the team scales.
- Serve as founding member of the BD organisation with potential to build a team in future phases.
Market Engagement
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities among SMEs.
- Represent Statrys at industry events, networking sessions, and trade fairs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the General Manager (Asia),Product, and Operations teams to provide customer insights and influence product roadmap enhancements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities in Statrys CRM or internal systems.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 5+ years experience of B2B sales experience, ideally selling financial services, fintech solutions, corporate administration services, or related professional services to SMEs.
- A proven track record in consultative selling, corporate negotiations, and hands-on outbound acquisition (cold outreach, networking, events).
- Knowledge of international payments, FX, corporate administration, or accounting is highly preferred.
- Experience working in high-growth environments where processes are not yet established.
- Strong communication skills in English, plus Mandarin is required Cantonese is a strong advantage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset - Comfortable operating independently and building systems from scratch.
