About the Role

We are seeking a forward-thinking Business Development Director to lead strategic growth initiatives that bridge traditional industries with the digital economy. This role goes beyond revenue generation - it requires a visionary leader who can redefine learning ecosystems, accelerate digital transformation, and cultivate impactful partnershipsacross corporate, educational, and industrial landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Digital Transformation Across Sectors

  • Champion large-scale transformation initiatives that move traditional business models into modern, digital-first frameworks.
  • Oversee the development of hybrid and online learning platforms, leveraging technology to expand educational access and engagement.
  • Advise clients in sectors such as education, consulting, and construction on building digital ecosystems that improve efficiency, scalability, and impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute digital programs that drive measurable operational and learning outcomes.

2. Drive Strategic Partnerships & Market Growth

  • Develop and implement strategies to expand market presence regionally and internationally, focusing on high-impact partnerships in the education and professional training sectors.
  • Build and nurture relationships with government agencies, corporates, and training institutions to co-create scalable upskilling initiatives.
  • Transition client portfolios from B2C to B2B markets, aligning service models with enterprise-level workforce development needs.
  • Negotiate multi-stakeholder collaborations to accelerate adoption of digital education technologies and certification programs.

3. Shape Workforce Development & Learning Innovation

  • Lead initiatives that empower businesses to upskill and certify employees through technology-enabled training solutions.
  • Partner with industry councils and HR tech providers to develop frameworks for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Align programs with regional workforce transformation agendas such as SkillsFuture Singapore and ASEAN digital economy objectives.

4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and mentor a team of business development professionals to deliver excellence through innovation and accountability.
  • Establish a data-driven culture focused on results, pipeline quality, and customer lifetime value.
  • Foster an environment that values curiosity, digital literacy, and creative problem-solving.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in business development, consulting, or digital transformation within the education field.
  • Proven success in developing and executing digital growth strategies within education, consulting, or workforce sectors.
  • Strong background in B2B business development, client strategy, and partnership management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
