Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director - Fine Art Business to lead commercial growth and client development across the Greater China market and Asia. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the art ecosystem: including galleries, auction houses, collectors, museums, and art logistics partners, and a proven track record in developing business related to fine art storage and collection management services.
This role requires a strategic and hands-on professional who understands the unique operational, logistical, and relationship-driven aspects of the fine art industry.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans targeting collectors, galleries, museums, auction houses, and art advisors across Greater China and Asia region.
- Identify new opportunities for fine art storage, collection management, and related services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients and institutional partners.
- Drive revenue growth by acquiring new accounts and expanding existing client portfolios.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship lead for key collectors, galleries, and art institutions.
- Provide tailored solutions for fine art storage, handling, and preservation requirements.
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Industry Engagement
- Represent the company at art fairs, exhibitions, gallery openings, and industry events.
- Develop partnerships with galleries, curators, art advisors, and collectors.
- Maintain deep insight into trends and opportunities within the Greater China art market.
Operational Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams on fine art storage operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Ensure client requirements for storage environments, security, and handling protocols are met.
- Contribute to the development of new service offerings in the fine art sector.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor art market developments, competitor activities, and client needs in the region.
- Provide strategic insights to leadership regarding expansion opportunities.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management within the fine art, art logistics, art storage, or related industries.
- Mandatory experience managing or developing fine art storage services or facilities.
- Proven track record of developing business within the Greater China art market.
- Established network with collectors, galleries, museums, art advisors, and auction houses.

- Strong business development and relationship management capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation and client engagement skills.
- Deep understanding of fine art handling, storage requirements, and collection management practices.
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution ability.
Language - Bilingual proficiency required:
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
