The Opportunity
EY is expanding its Wealth & Asset Management (WAM) Consulting practice in Asia-Pacific, with Singapore as a strategic hub. We are seeking a senior Business Development Associate Director - Wealth and Asset Management Platforms and Alliances to drive growth through strategic partnerships across the WAM technology ecosystem.
This role sits at the intersection of industry expertise, technology strategy, and commercial leadership. You will be responsible for originating and scaling revenue through alliance-driven opportunities while shaping EY's go-to-market in partnership with leading platform providers across front, middle, and back-office domains.
Key Responsibilities
Platforms/ Alliance Strategy & Ecosystem Development
- Define and execute EY's WAM technology solutions and alliances strategy across priority platforms (e.g., portfolio management, order management, data platforms, risk, and reporting).
- Identify, onboard, and cultivate relationships with key technology partners (e.g., BlackRock Aladdin, SS&C Technologies, SimCorp, eFront, etc.).
- Build joint value propositions and solutions aligned to market demand in Singapore and broader ASEAN.
Sales Origination & Revenue Growth
- Drive alliance-led pipeline creation and revenue growth within the WAM sector (asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, private banks, and family offices).
- Co-develop and execute joint go-to-market campaigns, account plans, and pursuits with alliance partners.
Client Engagement & Thought Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, COOs) on technology transformation in wealth and asset management.
- Bring deep insights into industry trends such as platform modernization, data & analytics, ESG reporting, digital client experience, and regulatory change.
- Curate industry events and forums along with strategic alliance partners, with relevant value propositions and solutions.
Practice Development
- Collaborate with EY's consulting teams to bring integrated solutions to clients.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team focused on alliance delivery and sales enablement.
- Contribute to building reusable assets, accelerators, and solution frameworks aligned to alliance technologies.
Requirements
Experience
- 12-18+ years of experience in consulting, technology alliances, or business development within wealth & asset management.
- Proven track record of driving revenue through strategic alliances and partner ecosystems.
- Strong familiarity with leading WAM platforms such as Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, eFront, private banking core systems, or similar.
- Experience working in or with Singapore and ASEAN financial institutions is highly preferred.
Skills & Capabilities
- Deep understanding of the WAM technology landscape across front-to-back operations.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to originate and close large, complex deals.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence C-suite executives and alliance partners.
- Ability to translate technology capabilities into business outcomes and client value.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for execution.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
