Job Description

Business Development Analyst, APAC (1 year contract)

Location 1 Woodlands Avenue 8

Reporting to: Food Service & Pet Food Director (dotted reporting to HFBU APAC Head)

As Business Development Analyst, you will help improve operational efficiency for the Food Service, Pet Food, and Health & Functional Ingredients business unit activities. This role combines market intelligence, commercial analytics, and executive support to drive business growth of these 2 business pillars across APAC.

Main Responsibilities

1. Executive & Administrative Support (40%)

  • Prepare, review, and polish presentation materials for leadership (monthly reviews, power point documents as required).
  • Support monthly meetings, team events, workshops, and exhibitions (agenda setting, minutes, action tracking, vendor coordination if any) as required.
  • Assist the day-to-day administration for the FS & Petfood Director and HFBU APAC Head (calendar, travel, expense reports, meeting logistics)
  • Support APAC FS Strategic deployment admin matters

2. Market & Competitive Intelligence (35%)

  • Compile business data collection from markets and websites if required brand info, customer profiles, trend insights
  • Build and maintain an APAC Intelligence Database as required
  • Analyse and share market insights to the BU leaders

3. Cross-Functional & Event Coordination (10%)

  • Support Directors on liaison with regional & local marketing, sales, and R&D teams to align on BD initiatives and commercial roll out
  • Support ad-hoc strategic projects (e.g., market analysis and strategy work).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, Economics, Marketing, or related field
  • 1–3 years in business analysis, market intelligence, or executive support (F&B, culinary, or Food Service background is a plus). Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as well
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, basic macros)
  • Experience with database building
  • Strong written and spoken English; additional APAC language (e.g Chinese, a plus)
  • Proactive, self-driven, willingness to learn

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Accuracy, timeliness, quality of tasks, analytical skills, intelligent output that leads to reduction in leaders revision cycle
