Job Description
- Research priority industries, companies, market developments and emerging commercial opportunities using desk-based research methods.
- Draft briefing materials, stakeholder summaries, meeting notes and short market insights to support internal decision-making.
- Maintain and update stakeholder contact lists, databases and CRM records, including systems such as Salesforce where applicable.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, business introductions, networking activities and official visits.
- Support planning and logistics for trade missions, market visits, exhibitions and events, including venues, attendance management and follow-up actions.
- Assist with stakeholder and company outreach under the direction of team members.
- Track relevant trade, investment and industry news and circulate key updates to the wider team.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations, reports, event collateral and other written materials for internal or external use.
- Provide administrative and project support to ensure smooth delivery of engagement initiatives and team activities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business Development Analyst should have:
- A degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and its key drivers.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated interest in trade, investment, international business, government or economic development.
