Business Development & Event Manager

Purpose of Role:

The Business Development & Event Manager is pivotal in driving the growth, visibility, and sustainability of Singapore Silat Federation (SSF) through strategic partnerships and impactful event delivery.
The successful candidate will combine business acumen with operational excellence to elevate Silat ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development:
o Identify and secure donations, sponsorships, partnerships, and collaborations with corporate, government, and community stakeholders.

o Develop SSF's business development plan tailored to the local market landscape on a yearly basis.

o Increase current avenue and explore new opportunities to generate income through courses, programs and possible grants.

o Research, strategize and develop lead-sourcing of potential donors, sponsorship prospects and opportunities.

2. Event Management:
o Plan, organize, and execute Silat competitions, seminars, courses and community events at local, regional, and international levels.

o Oversee event logistics including venue management, scheduling, technical requirements, and volunteer coordination.

o Ensure compliance with governance protocols.

o Monitor event budgets, timelines, and KPIs to ensure efficiency and success.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Maintain transparent communication with affiliates, schools, sponsors, and governing bodies.

o Build trust and long-term relationships with partners through consistent updates and collaborative initiatives.

o Any ad hoc duties/projects as assigned by the general manager

Requirements:
. Degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Event Management, or related field.

. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or event management.

. Experience in sports organizations programs is an advantage.

. Strong organizational and project management skills.

. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

. Passion for sports development and community engagement.
