Business Developer - Renewable Project

Position Overview

This role focuses on originating, structuring, and advancing new renewable fuel production projects to support global expansion. The position requires a commercially driven professional to identify strategic partnerships, progress project development initiatives, and negotiate commercial offtake agreements. The ideal candidate combines strong project origination capabilities with hands-on project development experience and deep familiarity with biomass and renewable fuel markets.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Head of Business Development. The role involves identifying and developing new sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel production opportunities, including site screening, feedstock evaluation, partner identification, and commercial structuring. Responsibilities include negotiating and executing long-term offtake agreements, structuring commercially viable project frameworks, and coordinating with technical and finance teams to support project financing. The position also requires managing cross-functional stakeholders to advance projects from early-stage development through final investment readiness, overseeing feasibility studies, project timelines, and risk management, while developing feedstock supply strategies and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners, customers, and regulatory stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should hold a degree in engineering or a related field, The role requires at least 10 years of experience in renewable fuels, bioenergy, infrastructure, or energy project development, with a proven track record in originating greenfield projects and negotiating offtake agreements. Strong exposure to biomass markets, feedstock procurement, and biofuel supply chains is essential, along with demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder development projects. Candidates should also possess strong commercial and financial acumen, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
