About the Role
As the Group enters a phase of rapid expansion, we are strengthening our finance function to deliver a more strategic and transformational role by closely partnering all business units and the senior management team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a seasoned Chief Financial Officer while shaping and developing a growing team, with a unique opportunity to make meaningful impact on the Group's next chapter of growth.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will provide financial leadership and serve as a strategic partner to business leaders. Additionally, you will oversee the full spectrum of finance functions, including financial reporting, operations, and compliance.
Financial Leadership & Business Partnering (70%)
Finance Leadership
- Drive strategic finance leadership for the Group across corporate finance, including treasury planning (e.g. funding diversification), interest rate and liquidity risk management, tax efficiency, working capital management, etc.
- Review financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis with senior management
- Lead cash flow management, cost optimisation, and financial planning to ensure liquidity, funding efficiency, and sustainable growth across the Group
- Supervise and guide junior finance team members
Business Partnering and Transformation
- Partner with business units to provide financial insights, budgeting, and forecasting to enable strategic decision-making and drive business performance and efficiency
- Lead finance transformation and continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, executing improvements in reporting processes, systems, and timelines
Financial Management & Oversight (30%)
Financial Reporting & Closing
- Oversee and ensure timely preparation of full sets of accounts in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Financial Operations & Controls
- Oversee daily finance operations, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
- Establish, review, and strengthen internal controls, policies, and SOPs
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial records
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee preparation and submission of GST, corporate tax, and statutory filings
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
- Liaise with tax agents and external consultants on tax matters
Audit & Governance
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audit processes
- Act as the main point of contact for auditors and regulatory bodies
- Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of recommendations
About You
- Degree in Accountancy or relevant professional qualifications (ACCA / CPA / CA)
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior capacity
- Prior experience working closely with senior management and business leaders to drive performance and efficiency is critical
- Regional exposure will be a strong advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner stakeholders across functions
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical mindset and decision-making skills, with an affinity to work well with numbers
- Strong experience in full set of accounts and financial reporting, with good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST, and corporate tax
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
