Our Client is a MNC in manufacturing with global presence. A need has arisen to hire a Business Controller to join the team. This is a business partner role with responsibilities as below:
Responsibilities
Corporate & Management Reporting
- In charge of management consolidation of SEA financials
- Monitor and provide sound & timely analytics to SEA management team for business decisions and drive business performance
- To handle all reporting requirements of Regional and Corporate HQs
- Work with both Corporate and Regional FICO team as well as respective functional / business teams to meet reporting requirements
Business Controlling
- Act as a trusted point of contact for functional/business teams, to provide timely support and analysis that add value in decision making and/or problem solving to meet business objectives
- Work with SEA management team as well as regional/ cross functional teams for SEA strategy development and execution
- Work closely with SEA management team to support sales growth. This includes (but not limited to) monitoring key sales drivers, price increase initiatives, sales efficiency and project pipelines
- Monitor and provide analysis of SEA productivity indicators like inventory turns, DSO etc
- Consolidate, review and analysis on SEA level of financials & KPIs BU and Country view
- Perform ad-hoc business and/or sensitivity analysis as and when required
Budgeting & Forecasting Process
- Key coordinator for SEA annual budgeting and regular forecasting process
- Work closely with SEA team to map out key plans, understand the upcoming market outlook and
- underlying business assumptions for financial projections
- Develop and ensure that the various forecast processes in SEA are being performed in a systematic and efficient manner
- Perform analysis, review and understand the variances
- Work with both Corporate, Regional and Affiliates FICO as well as respective functional/business teams as part of the support to the budget and forecast process
Monthly Budget Monitoring System
- Design and implement a monthly budget-monitoring framework for SEA, ensuring timely variance analysis and actionable insights for SEA management
- Strategic Growth Initiatives & Investment Controlling
- Lead and support strategic growth projects and investment controlling activities, ensuring robust financial evaluation and benefit tracking
- Serve as the key point of contact for external consultants on the strategic transformation projects, supporting efforts to identify efficiency improvements and clarify roles and responsibilities across departments
Ad-hoc Projects
- Provide Controlling support for projects/initiatives, either as a supporting member and/or team leader as and when required
To qualify, you should be a degree holder with a professional accounting qualification. Big 4 training background with around 8-10 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, and Business Controlling area preferably gained from manufacturing industry. Excellent business sense is a must with the ability to work with senior management team in helping them to make business decisions.
