An established global retail organisation is seeking a Business Controller to join its regional Finance team in Singapore on a 1-year contract. This is a broad-based role spanning FP&A, business partnering, strategic sourcing analytics and Finance transformation, with exposure to stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies.
Responsibilities
You will support the regional financial planning, forecasting and reporting agenda, including monthly management reporting, P&L analysis and Actual vs. Budget variance analysis. You will provide meaningful financial insights to support management decision-making and evaluate business performance.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with cross functional teams, providing financial analysis and modelling to assess new business initiatives and support key decisions. You will also contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives through market research, competitor intelligence and data analysis, identifying market trends and potential sourcing opportunities.
Beyond the core FP&A remit, you will play an active role in strengthening reporting and planning processes, simplifying existing workflows and supporting broader digital transformation initiatives across the Business Controlling function.
Requirements
You are a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Business Controlling or FP&A. You should have strong financial analysis and business partnering capabilities, together with experience in SAP and BI/reporting tools.
You should also be comfortable working within Google Workspace for collaborative financial modelling. Hands-on exposure to Python or Apps Script for data maintenance, as well as experience using AI tools to improve workflows and data modelling, would be beneficial.
To succeed in this role, you will be analytical, proactive and well organised, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights for stakeholders. You are comfortable working independently within a fast-paced regional environment and collaborating with stakeholders across different functions and geographies.
