Established under the Energy Market Authority's initiative to centralise gas procurement, GasCo plays a vital role in safeguarding national energy security and supporting Singapore's economic continuity. We are looking for interested interns to join our growing team in the Operations division.
Role Overview: The role will support the Business Planning, Risk and Technology function. This internship experience will enable the intern to gain hands-on experience in strategic planning, data analytics, and business intelligence within a dynamic corporate environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Long-Term Price Forecasting
- Support the development and enhancement of long-term price forecasting models using data analytics tools, guided by fundamentals supply-demand outlook
- Conduct market research and analysis on gas, power, and renewable energy sectors
- Explore innovative methodologies to improve the accuracy and usability of time series predictions
- Collaborate with senior analysts to validate and communicate forecasting insights
Power BI Development & Process Automation
- Assist in data engineering tasks, including integration with data lake sources
- Migrate existing reporting tools and dashboards to Power BI
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards for Monthly Management Reports, Budget Tracking, Risk Register, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
- Implement automation workflow to streamline reporting and improve operational efficiency
ETRM Implementation Support
- Provide project coordination support for the rollout of the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system
- Organise meetings, track project milestones, and assist in documentation
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project components
Role Requirements:
- Engineering, Business, Economics or related undergrad course
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and forecasting
- Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization platforms
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Interest in project management, digital transformation, and data analytics
- Internship period from January to June 2026 (Full time 5 days commitment preferred)
