We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support technology delivery within Wealth Management Technology. The role requires strong business analysis capabilities, domain understanding of investment and insurance products, agile delivery experience, and the ability to work closely with business users, technology teams, developers, testers, and release stakeholders
Roles & Responsibilities
• Analyze, capture, and document business requirements clearly and completely.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand needs, draw inferences, and translate requirements into functional and technical delivery inputs.
• Guide developers and testers by explaining functional requirements, expected system behaviour, product flows, and business rules.
• Act as a functional subject matter expert and share relevant domain knowledge, best practices, and delivery recommendations with the team.
• Assist in preparing business cases, use cases, user journeys, process flows, and data profiling outcomes for business users.
• Prepare impact assessments and projections for enhancements using historical analytical data, where applicable.
• Liaise with business users, technology teams, and project stakeholders to map existing business processes end to end, from front-end customer-facing journeys through to data, system specifications, and screen-level requirements.
• Identify improvement opportunities in existing business processes, system behaviour, and technical design.
• Document user narratives and user stories using agile methodology, including context, purpose, prerequisites, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and expected results.
• Strategically assess requirements and ensure that scope, dependencies, assumptions, and risks are clearly understood and documented.
• Prioritize, refine, and streamline user stories in collaboration with product owners, business users, and delivery squads.
• Assess the impact of unexpected scope changes and support stakeholders in making informed delivery decisions.
• Work in an agile delivery model and actively participate in scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Guide development and testing teams to ensure adherence to project standards, delivery expectations, and agreed requirements.
• Coordinate with technology and business users to plan, validate, and support production cutover activities.
• Manage and coordinate release management activities, including release planning, release readiness, deployment coordination, stakeholder communication, and post-release validation.
• Act as Scrum Master for two squads, supporting agile ceremonies, removing delivery blockers, tracking sprint progress, improving team collaboration, and ensuring disciplined agile execution.
• Provide weekend release management support as needed for scheduled production releases, deployment activities, cutover coordination, and post-implementation checks.
• Support defect triage, issue resolution, and coordination with relevant teams during testing, release, and post-production phases.
• Ensure clear communication across business, technology, testing, operations, and stakeholders.
Requirements
• 6–9 years of hands-on experience in Business Analysis and Data Analysis, preferably in Consumer Banking, Wealth Management, Data Warehouse Analytics, or related technology enhancements.
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst with functional or domain knowledge of investment and insurance products.
• Good understanding of wealth management products, banking processes, and customer-facing digital or operational journeys.
• Strong understanding of technology delivery life cycles and the practices required to implement effective systems.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments and documenting requirements as epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Experience supporting production cutover, release planning, deployment coordination, and post-release validation.
• Prior experience performing Scrum Master responsibilities or coordinating agile delivery across multiple squads is preferred.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including business users, developers, testers, production support, operations, and release management teams.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Postman, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs is an added advantage.
• Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, MCA, or equivalent master's degree.
Preferred Skills
• Wealth management technology delivery experience including the exposure on Finacle, Avaloq or any other core banking systems.
• Exposure on investment and insurance product platforms.
• Experience in release governance, release readiness reviews, implementation planning, and weekend deployment support.
