About The Job

A business analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role involves leading requirements gathering and analysis, documenting business and functional processes, and facilitating clear communication between stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of business processes, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable, high-quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Involved across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery process, including project initiation, requirements analysis, solution design, development, implementation, maintenance, and post-implementation review
  • Liaise extensively with internal stakeholders, external clients, and vendors
  • Lead design thinking sessions, requirement workshops, and solution discussions with customers
  • Analyse business requirements to assess feasibility and identify gaps, risks, and technical constraints
  • Highlight requirement gaps, disproportionate implementation effort, and potential delivery risks
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements
  • Present and communicate requirements and use cases to technical and development teams
  • Collaborate with solution architects and technical leads to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Prepare and manage documentation including requirements specifications, functional design documents, and solution artefacts, and support stakeholder review and sign-off
  • Develop test plans and test cases, ensure traceability to requirements, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Support functional and system testing, review test results and logs, and follow up on issue resolution
  • Conduct change impact analysis and support change management activities
  • Support system training, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation reviews
  • Work with local and offshore teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities including solution proposals, estimations, and technical discussions.

Requirement and Qualification


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong experience working across SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Proven ability to independently run requirement workshops and manage stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and analysis techniques.
  • Good understanding of system integrations and technical concepts.
  • Prior experience working on government or large-scale enterprise projects is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel as required platforms.

Added Advantage


  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar collaboration and project management tools
  • Understanding of system integrations and RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of BPMN or UML for process modelling
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Exposure to data analysis or digital product development

Security Requirement (Mandatory)


This role involves work on Singapore Government projects. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Singapore and must be eligible for the required security clearance. Appointment to this role is subject to successful completion of all security vetting and clearance requirements.
